Entry requirements
You should have attained one of the following qualifications:
- Mathematics Craft 1 (SCQF Level 5)
- Standard Grade Mathematics at General level
- Mathematics Intermediate 1
Other equivalent qualifications will also be accepted.
Mathematics: Craft 2 is an optional unit which forms part of the SQA National Certificate (NC) Group Awards in Engineering. It can also be taken as a free-standing unit.
The unit is generally intended for those wish to develop their knowledge and understanding of Maths at SCQF Level 5, with a view to supporting and underpinning their studies in an engineering discipline.
The unit is designed to develop your skills in numeracy, graphical communication, statistics, trigonometry and algebra. You’ll also learn how to apply these skills in the appropriate engineering context.
