This online course is the ideal starting point if you’re considering a career in childcare, or want to gain a better understanding of how to care for children and young people.
The certificate in Introducing Caring for Children and Young People course covers a range of topics including child development, play, nutrition and safeguarding. You’ll gain the practical skills and understanding necessary for any childcare setting.
This course is fully online which means that you can study from anywhere, at any time. You will receive support from our expert tutors.
You will learn:
Assessment takes place throughout your studies by a series of questions which are built into the course. Your answers are automatically saved and are available for you to revise and edit at any point before submission.
You submit your assessment answers to your tutor for marking, who will give you feedback on each question. If you do not pass an assessment, don’t worry!
Once your Tutor has marked your work, you will receive an email instructing you to log into the system. If your result is ‘Refer’ this means your Tutor has highlighted some areas which need more attention in order for you to pass. You will then be able to re-attempt and re-submit the questions you didn’t pass first time round.
Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a digital certificate issued by North East Scotland College.
