This course is particularly suitable for candidates who have demonstrated an aptitude for National 5 Mathematics and are interested in developing mathematical techniques to use in further study or in the workplace.

There is an external examination which is completed in May. There are two papers taken on one day – one paper must be completed without the use of a calculator, while the use of a calculator is allowed in the second paper.
