Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, but learners are normally practising or aspiring first line managers, who are in a position to meet the assessment demands – ideally using their workplace as the basis for assignments.
This qualification is ideal for individuals who have management responsibilities but no formal training, and are serious about developing their abilities. The programme particularly supports practising team leaders who are seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who must lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures.
This qualification is made up of a ten units covering core management skills such as understanding how to organise and delegate, and skills in communication, team leadership, change management and managing people and relationships. All ten units must be achieved to obtain the qualification. You will:

If you take up a place on a College course, at the start of the course you will be asked to complete an enrolment form. In completing the form and/or taking up a place on a College course, you will enter into a contract with the College and be bound by the North East Scotland College Standard Terms and Conditions of Study. Please note that courses are offered subject to (a) there being sufficient numbers of enrolments and (b) the availability of resources.
